The fascinating story of these years remained untold until 2012 saw the publication of this substantial and very readable book in which Ray’s remarkable life story is vividly recalled.  One chapter of the book is devoted to the time when he was employed to ‘Develop the Fort as a 'First class Maritime Interpretive Centre’. His account of the years which followed, when the Fort was open to the public are extraordinary and full of interest.
